16A - What's your secret sauce??

16A 1.          List of five qualities   ·            Perspective- My number one quality which has to do with my human capital being unique would have to be perspectives. When I think about selling a product, the first thing that comes to my mind is the point of view of the customer. This allows me to view things from multiple perspectives in order to make the perfect product.   ·            Connections- Another important quality that I have is the ability to make quick connections. Being a very social person, I’ve learned many methods about   connecting with people and learning about common interests in order to find business ideas that we would benefit from. I think this is an important quality because connections are very important in the business world.  ·       Risk taker- This is often looked down upon by...

15A Figuring out Buyer Behavior !

Buying pre/post factors! 3. Customers often choose the cheaper products when it comes to brands because they don’t want to spend much on an item such as an adapter. People tend to buy the product that isn’t the cheapest one but isn’t the most expensive either. There’s an in between where the product is not expensive but isn’t horrible quality. The longer the item lasts and the cheaper it is, people are more inclined to buy it. One more factor that is important is accessibility. People will more the product more if I sell it online rather than in stores. 4.          My product is most likely to be bought through online stores like amazon where it is more accessible to the public and will be delivered right to their homes without having to go and drive to the store to buy it. They will most likely use cash to purchase this device just because it is not expensive and people tend to not use their credit card on minimal priced items. My produ...

Halfway Reflection !

Image
Reflection! 1.        During this course, I have been able to understand the many perspectives that come into play when creating a company and selling a product. It hasn’t been an easy ride because it took a lot of interviews, and analyzing pieces of information to make the best possible product. The number one thing that is required for this course would be learning how to manage your time. This course requires a lot of time and dedication. If you follow these steps then you will learn a lot from this class! 2.        College is very stressful at times which often does not motivate me to keep going but sometimes you just have to keep it together and push through. What pulls me through situations like these include thinking about the end goal (which would be my UF diploma) and about how happy and proud my family will be when I graduate. These factors are constantly on my mind and help remind me about why I am working so ...

Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson

Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson 1.      Many people have different opinions about Steve Jobs. What stuck out to me the most would be his resilience and way of bouncing back into business even when he was going through his own problems. He was able to go back to Apple after his second run and dealt with problems in the company due to their mediocre sales (in his opinion). He able to take out products that he saw were not good enough for the company. The thing I most admire about Steve Job is his ambition which helped him to never give up on his company. The thing I least admire is the way he treated his employees. This is an issue many people face when they think that they’re more successful than everyone else, but in this case, I believe that it was because Steve Jobs was in his own bubble of himself and his company that it made his lose sight of somethings that matter in life. Steve Jobs did face many obstacles in his life when the Mac board removed Steve Jobs from...

Buyer Behavior No. 1

This need is usually seen when people want to stream their movies or shows on their TV and so in that case they need a HDMI adapter. Another situation would be with the latest MacBook USB ports. These laptops don’t bring any USB or HDMI ports which is very frustrating for people because they find themselves in situations where they have to buy various adapters to be able to have access to the Mac features.  1.      For this first interview I conducted, I asked a football player how often he comes into contact with problems regarding apple adapters. To summarize what he said, being an athlete on the UF football team, he only uses adapters sometimes on the weekend to watch movies with his computer but he does use the headphone adapter more because he listens to music every day. Even though he only watches movies on the weekends, he says he would still invest in my product because it’s more convenient option for him rather than buying separate adapters.  ...

11A- Idea Napkin No. 1

1.      I am an innovator which helps me see things from multiple perspectives and also helps me see what I can make better in everyday life. This is something that I believe is a big factor in business because in order to make a good product, you need to see if it serves a purpose from one or multiple lenses first. I see this business as something that is needed very much for a certain population.  2.      I am offering an adapter with various ports that will last longer than buying separate individual adapters that last little to no time. These adapters will be fit for every type of Apple computer and will be more updated to meet the customer’s needs.  3.      I am offering my product to people around the world who know apple devices. These adapters will be sold in all electronic stores and online so that people can order it straight to their house without an inconvenience. What all my customers have in common ...

9A- Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2

Testing the hypothesis Part 2 Who: This product is aimed at Apple MacBook users that frequently need adapters for their computers. This excludes other computer companies that usually only require an extra HDMI adapter.  What: This need is different from others because this is a frequent bug that people have with entertainment.  Why: The outsiders need is different because for example people with other brands don’t face the same struggle as a person with an Apple MacBook. These other brands like HP, Dell, windows, etc. are easier and more affordable to use yet people still buy apple because of its special features like FaceTime, IMessage, and the fast system it has.  In the interviews I conducted, I concluded that student with a MacBook pro completely understands this struggle. She tried to connect her adapter to her computer and it turned out that the adapter kept having problems. She now has to buy a new adapter. This is something I simply want to solve by...

8A Solving the Problem

8A- Solving the Problem! 1.      My selected opportunity would be one adapter that has every single converter in one. Many companies with computers always require you to buy several adapters in order to have a complete experience with the computer. I want to sell them according to apple products. The new MacBook pros would require a bigger adapter because apple made this product even harder to manage than the previous ones. I believe that an opportunity exists because it is something that people buy due to consumerism which makes the adapter a valuable object to sell because people are constantly buying it. 2.      These special adapters will include everything the computer doesn’t and will be made for each apple computer model individually and accordingly. They will not be costly like the prices in the apple store and will be made available one the internet (amazon prime, Ebay, etc.) so that it is not limited to in-store buying only. The ad...

Elevator Pitch No. 1

Testing the Hypothesis, Part 1

Hypothesis: Florida Medicaid has been unstable, damaging the process of kids with autism all over the state. These business owners also suffer trying to pay their employees because Medicaid won’t cover their expenses anymore.  The who: Florida Medicaid, business owners, and autistic kids.  The what: Unable to support businesses and have a stable Medicaid program. The why: Federal interventions cause delays in education and behavior for kids with autism.  Testing the who: Business owners and kids with autism have the need because they are the ones being impacted by this problem.  Testing the what: This problem only affected a small crowd compared to a wide audience. The need for stabilization of Medicaid is very needed.  Testing the why: This happens because of reforms done to the Medicaid system that are constantly changing.  Interview #1:  ·       Why do you believe Medicaid needs to be constant? ...
