9A- Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2

Testing the hypothesis Part 2

Who: This product is aimed at Apple MacBook users that frequently need adapters for their computers. This excludes other computer companies that usually only require an extra HDMI adapter.
What: This need is different from others because this is a frequent bug that people have with entertainment.
Why: The outsiders need is different because for example people with other brands don’t face the same struggle as a person with an Apple MacBook. These other brands like HP, Dell, windows, etc. are easier and more affordable to use yet people still buy apple because of its special features like FaceTime, IMessage, and the fast system it has.

In the interviews I conducted, I concluded that student with a MacBook pro completely understands this struggle. She tried to connect her adapter to her computer and it turned out that the adapter kept having problems. She now has to buy a new adapter. This is something I simply want to solve by making a reliable, and affordable adapter built for each individual model of the MacBook series. For the second person I interviewed, I learned that since they were a windows user, they did not face the fame difficulties as the Mac user. This made me re-evaluate my target customers down to only Mac users. For the next three interviews, I concluded that these customers of apples (all with different models) all have the same common problem. The worst situation would have to be for the newest model of the MacBook Pro which does not even have a USB import. This adapter would be the most complex one.

Inside the boundary
Outside the boundary
-People of all ages with
a MacBook.
-Anyone that has another brand of
computer that is not Mac. (ex: windows,
bell, HP, etc.)
-One single adapter
with various ports.
-Other computer brands have built
in ports and most do not require various
 adapters.
-To not spend money
on various adapters
and have a specialized
adapters for that specific
computer.
-The outside group does not need this because
the company of the computer does not require it.
