This article talks about business owner Jennifer Borr who has a private practice funded by Medicaid. Due to the delays in the reforms in Medicaid, her business is now suffering. Her concern also included the fact that kids with autism need constant therapy and since she wasn’t the only one affect, now kids with autism are being delayed in their learning pattern.  ·        The problem here is that people with higher authority often pass laws, reform, and advocate...

Opportunities !

Laura Mena May 25 th , 2018 1. An opportunity exists within our own apple devices. There is no need for adapters if companies like apple would just add in ports but because of this, the opportunity of selling adapters grows exponentially. This is an opportunity for improvement because I believe apple can make IPhone and MacBook’s easier to use without having to have the customer spend money but don’t so in the end this problem needed to be resolved using adapters.  2. The unmet need is IPhones and MacBook’s without adapters. Adapters are in no way actually needed but yet companies like apple make phones that require it in order to be satisfied. This need is focused on IPhone 7,8, and 10 customers along with any MacBook’s. This is a recent need as it hasn’t existed forever but it has been an issue starting with the first MacBook. The need I would say is about 43.5% according to statistics (Statista, 2018).  Interview 1:  3. A college student that owns an...

My Entrepreneurship Story

Laura Mena ENT3003 May 23, 2018 My Entrepreneurship Story             I never really understood the meaning of entrepreneurship till I had to apply it to my life. In high school, I was trying to find a way to make money because I wasn’t working at the time. I didn’t know what I wanted to sell until one day when I come home from school I ate one of my mom’s Ghiradelli brownies and I got the idea to start selling them. Each box was about 2 dollars so I would buy two boxes and make around 20 brownies. I sold each one of them for one dollar and soon my brownies became hit. Even the teachers would ask me if they could buy some. I never knew that at that point I had taken the first steps of becoming an entrepreneur.                As an Animal Science major, you’d think that I wouldn’t really need the class ENT 3003 but in reality, being an e...

Bug List!

My Bug List- Hello everyone! Here are some bugs I experianced during these couple of days.  1.    My HDMI cable kept turning making my T.V have problems. When I plugged my computer in and it turned black every other minute on the T.V which did not let me properly watch the movie I wanted to. I think this bug exists so that we purchase more and more items every time they break.   2.      When I looked up the bus that would take me to my destination this morning I went to go wait for it and it never showed up. I had to end up walking and went to class five minutes late. I think the root of the problem is the lack of communication between the buses and technology.  3.      When coming back home from Miami, my bus completely shut down and we have to wait 3 hours for a new bus to come! The six hour bus ride soon turned into a nine hour one which made me arrive at Gainesville till 12 AM. The root ...
