Bug List!

My Bug List-

Hello everyone! Here are some bugs I experianced during these couple of days. 

1.   My HDMI cable kept turning making my T.V have problems. When I plugged my computer in and it turned black every other minute on the T.V which did not let me properly watch the movie I wanted to. I think this bug exists so that we purchase more and more items every time they break. 

2.    When I looked up the bus that would take me to my destination this morning I went to go wait for it and it never showed up. I had to end up walking and went to class five minutes late. I think the root of the problem is the lack of communication between the buses and technology. 

3.    When coming back home from Miami, my bus completely shut down and we have to wait 3 hours for a new bus to come! The six hour bus ride soon turned into a nine hour one which made me arrive at Gainesville till 12 AM. The root of this problem is the based on the money people pay for the buses and how reliable cheap buses are verses more expensive buses.  

4.    Today I went to go check on packages that were supposedly delivered on Wednesday but I never received them so I had to talk to Amazon customer support about where my packages were and they said they delivered them to the wrong place. This bug exists because the delivery people deliver the package to whoever is available vs. the person who actually bought the product.  

5.    I could not access my apartment complex online because it said, “Log in username not found” so I have been going back and forth to get this fixed and it still hasn’t been resolved. The possible root of this problem is the workers not really caring enough about fixing problems at work because they get paid regardless. 

6.    I did not want to make dinner today so I used a service called “Bite Squad” which basically delivers your food to your location. It first said it would take 45 minutes to deliver but it actually took two hours! This happens because there’s a lack of drivers and often there is not clear communication between the driver and the company. 

7.    I called my mom today and the sound of the phone kept acting up and my mom couldn’t hear me. This happens when companies make the phone lag in order to make customers pay for more services. 

8.    When I went home today I had an issue with the air conditioning. The entire apartment was sticky and hot! I believe this happens because of the lack of management of the building. 

9.    My phone case is starting to peel when I just bought it about 1 month ago! The reviews are misguiding and the quality is supposed to be very good. It may be the treatment of the phone case or the cheap price that makes the phone case not last long. 

10.  I went to CVS to buy command hooks to hang my bags in my room. When I hung them in my room they both fell when I put the bags on them! The root of this problem is that the weight of the bags were too much for the command hooks to carry.

11.  I recently bought a pair of shoes and they are very pretty but now that I put them on and walked in them they gave me huge blisters. The materials of the shoes cause for the friction between the shoe and the feet causing the problem to happen. Companies should make sure the shoe is made accurately in order to bring comfort to the person wearing the shoe. 

12.  My phone battery keeps dying when it says that there’s fifty percent on it. I went to the apple store to get it fixed but had to wait an entire hour to talk to someone! Companies do this to charge extra for fixing services and they have such big amounts of people that demand to get their phone fixed that the waiting time is very long.

13.  The internet on my phone was going super slow so I had to wait till I got home to do things on my computer. This happened because of the phone carrier I have. The cheaper the plan/company you have the slower your service is going to be.

14.   In my work, they asked us to do a double security of everything when we log into the UF website so now we have to log in and authorize it from our phones now through an app. It’s annoying but they do it in order to maintain security. 

15.  My key to get into the building and it doesn’t work. I tried everything possible and the key is broke! The cause of the problem is the management not checking to see if the keys work before giving out the keys to the people. 

16.  The rug I ordered from Amazon was really thin and cheaply made. This happened as a result of me choosing the cheapest rug on amazon. 

17.  When my computer shut down unexpectedly, my document with my work from a class assignment got deleted. I think this happened due to the fact that I didn’t save the assignment earlier and I didn’t know my computer would randomly turn off. 

18.  The sink broke and I put in the request to get it fixed but maintenance didn’t come till a week after. This problem exists because it gives jobs to people who work with maintenance. 

19.  The line at Wendy’s was incredibly long and I was rushing to get to the bus station so when I saw the line I had to leave. I believe this happens because the workers are over crowed by the number of people ordering. 

20.  A light up tree I ordered from amazon came and it turns out the tree needed batteries so I went to CVS to get them. The tree ends up not working and now I have to send the tree back in order to get a new one. This happens because the companies don’t check to see if the product works before shipping them out.

I found this assignment extremely challenging because it really makes you think of things that you usually wouldn’t put much thought into. It’s especially hard when you have to think about the root and cause of the problem rather than ranting about how you feel about it. Seeing the list of bugs makes you realize how many times we go throughout the day without really analyzing the problems we face.
